Join us for the Special Olympics Louisiana State Conference, an exciting event that brings together Community coaches, educators, athletic directors, paraprofessionals, and school administrators for one full day of dynamic training, networking, and professional development. This conference will offer tailored sessions designed to elevate coaching expertise, enhance inclusive programming, and strengthen Special Olympics initiatives across Louisiana.

What To Expect

  • Sports-Specific Training – Gain valuable coaching strategies and techniques for working with Special Olympics athletes.
  • Unified Champion Schools (UCS) Sessions – Access tools and resources to enhance or start a Unified program in your school.
  • LETR Education Track -Learn about the history and future of LETR for SOLA, 2026 LETR Kickoff event and Julie Church, LPC will present on officer mental health and resources
  • Workshops & Breakout Sessions – Engage in interactive sessions designed for all attendees.
  • Networking Opportunities – Connect with like-minded professionals and build meaningful relationships.
  • Coach Appreciation Night – A special evening event to celebrate and thank our dedicated coaches/educators.

You can use your Local Program funds to cover hotel/lodging fees for the conference. If you are interested in this option, you must obtain approval from your Local Program/Club leader before making your reservation.
