Volunteer Opportunities

Special Olympics Louisiana would not exist today without the expertise, time, and enthusiasm of its volunteers. They are on the field guiding the athletes through drills. They are behind the scenes ensuring events run smoothly. Best of all, they are giving and getting more high-fives and hugs than they can count.

Coaching Volunteer

Volunteer regularly inside a sports environment. Coach or support athletes or help competitions come to life! If you have the enthusiasm, compassion, and skill to serve our athletes, these roles might be right for you! Volunteer opportunities are throughout our chapter or on the championship level.

Unified Partner

Unified Partners (individuals without intellectual disabilities) train and compete as a teammate alongside Special Olympics athletes on a Unified Sports Team (either on a school-based or community-based team). There is no better way to combine a love of sports with the rewards of volunteer service than becoming a Unified Partner!

Medical Volunteer

Volunteer your professional time to assist with our Healthy Athletes program or be part of our medical team for state games and competitions. You will be vital to the health and safety of our athletes and partners, providing on-site medical attention to athletes and partners.

General Volunteer

Our day-of-event volunteers ensure that our competitions and fundraisers operate efficiently. Multiple opportunities exist to get involved as an individual or as a group. And, it's a ton of fun!

Bring the Class B form with you on the day of the event!
